As with Navionics+ cards your Lighthouse chart card or your C-Map chart (on an SD/MSD card) can activate one Navionics Updates card
Updates cards are around half the price of Navionics+ cards and come with 12 months of free updates at any time following the date of activation. Each Updates card can activate a further Updates card and so on. Any Navionics+ chart area can be chosen and downloaded following activation
In the case of Platinum+ chart cards these can be obtained at around half price through part-exchange
Updates cards are supplied blank and once activated can accept a downloaded Navionics+ chart of your choice
