The Navisys GR300 GPS USB dongle is an excellent choice for notebooks and tablets.
It uses the low power GSC3f version of the leading SiRFstarIII chip
giving a drain of 50mA on continuous tracking and its own battery
maintains position data for up to ten days enabling instant position fixing on startup.

Supplied with an extension lead.
